Internship Overview

  • Duration: 3 months (renewable once)

The internship is a full-time program designed to help students and recent graduates gain practical experience while contributing to AU programs.

Purpose of the Internship

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree OR hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • Be a citizen of an AU Member State
  • Be 32 years old or younger
  • Be fluent in at least one AU language (English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese)
  • Demonstrate strong moral integrity
  • Have no serious criminal record
  • Have interest in AU activities and African development

No prior work experience is required.

  • The internship is unpaid
  • Interns cover their own:
